Cindy’s Toy started with a simple massage, yes a massage. As I was laying on the table my massage therapist, Cindy, told me about how they declutter all the unused toys in the house that her children no longer play.
She told me that every year she told her children to gather up all the toys that they no longer played with and put them in a bag for Santa. Santa takes back all those toys and sends them to his workshop so that he could give those same toys to other children.
I thought what a marvelous idea and told Cindy that I would look into maybe being able to create something.
Viola, Cindy’s Toys was born.
Knowing where these special toys were going to be going the decision to NOT take anything with batteries was decided. We felt that if there was a choice between food on the table or batteries for a toy, the toy and child would lose out.
So, with that in mind we are looking for toys for newborn to age 16, boys and girls. Putting on our thinking caps we came up with a list of items: teddy bears, stuffies of all sorts, dolls, trucks, cars, hot wheels, trains, planes, skipping ropes, hola hoops, balls of all sizes, story books, blocks for building and learning, crib mobiles, games, marbles, jacks, tea sets, arts stuff, musical items, etc. I have been out of the children business for a while so I have no idea what is out there anymore. LOL aging myself. so please add to the list.
As you are giving, please keep this in mind, would your child like it. So I ask that you do not give books that have a scribbled on, dolls with crayon painted faces etc.
